About Amy

After having my first child in 1996 I became determined to capture each and every moment of her precious life.
All of those fleeting moments I knew would be forgotten as she moved on to the next stage.
That need to capture everything
has grown into this dream of photography.
My desire is to give to others what has meant so much to me over
the past 10 years.
My mom once told me--love what you do and you'll never have to work again.
That has rung true for me
with the birth of Amy Leigh Photography.
As a mother of 3, my life has been blessed.
I am truly grateful for the
opportunities I have been given.

Amy's Style

I am originally from Louisiana.
The "Big Easy" style shows through in my approach to photography.
My slow easy going pace allows for breaks to change clothes or for snacks.
As a mother I understand things don't always go as planned. I will take
some time to get to know you and your child before I bring my camera out. I strive to capture real life moments....the tears
and frowns are appreciated as much as smiles and giggles. I try to keep things as simple as possible. 
I use only natural light and will provide only slight direction during our time together.
This being the case a studio setting is not something I offer.
